Vandring
The romantic Hohen Rätien Castle towers 946 meters above the small town of Thusis. It is believed that the castle complex was built long before Roman times (around 1800 BC). To this day, the grounds have been lovingly restored without becoming an overcrowded tourist destination. Around every corner, you'll find a secluded spot all to yourself. It's especially beautiful here in summer, when the wildflower meadows are in bloom and you can picnic under the open sky.

The detour from the Via Spluga to the castle ruin High Rätien is worth it alone because of the great view!
