Veltwijck Castle is a renaissance-style moated castle from the 16th century. It is built in brick with white sandstone bands. The stepped gables, the turrets and the remarkable access bridge give it a picturesque view. The castle was purchased by the municipality of Ekeren in 1929 and furnished as a town hall. Now the district administration is located there.

A park with a beautiful district house with a moat and a piece of Belgian football history. Near the castle you can see the abandoned football field of Germinal Ekeren, which had a number of beautiful years in the Belgian first football class.
