The church is a short, rectangular fieldstone building from the early 14th century with a slightly recessed tower and chancel; among the surviving features are pointed-arch sound openings from the time of construction, two bells from the 16th century, and a checkerboard stone at the south portal.
The interior is characterized by a flat ceiling and a horseshoe-shaped gallery from the late 17th century; its furnishings include an organ by Heinze from 1927, a pulpit altar assembled around 1740 using older Renaissance sculptures, a pointed-arch sacrament niche, and the restored torso of a baptismal angel from 1722.
