The ruins of Grimmstein Castle, located in the Reinhardtsgrimma Heath.
Information:
A few remnants of walls and ditches hint at the castle that once stood here. The ruins are situated on the Reinhardtsgrimma Heath ridge, which rises to 345.1 meters above sea level. Archaeological excavations and partial uncovering of the foundations took place in the 1960s. Legend connects this castle with the noble family of Grimme, who are said to have been active in the area.
An information panel was installed at Grimmstein Castle to commemorate Reinhardtsgrimma's 800th anniversary in 2006.
