    Vandring

On the ruin Luisenburg one finds not only a stamp box of the HWN. There are also benches with a wonderful panorama to linger.

    Vandring

The ruin of the summer residence Luisenburg contains only a few remaining walls. The climb up has it all. But you can look very nice to the east from here. A gazebo provides weather protection. Here is also the stamp office 77 of the Harzer hiking nobility. A little further down the little Jordan you will find the silver hut pond and the sawmill pond.

The hike to Luisenburg (HWN 77) is generally considered intermediate. While the path from Blankenburg is well-signposted, the ascent to the Calviusberg hilltop can be quite steep. Are there family-friendly hiking options to Luisenburg (HWN 77)?

While the direct ascent to Luisenburg can be steep, families with older children who are accustomed to hiking should manage well. For younger children or those seeking a less strenuous option, consider exploring the castle park in Blankenburg first, and then assessing the onward path.
