Vandring

One of the two Munro summits on Beinn Eighe, Spidean Coire nan Clach is the more easterly of two. The Munro sits in the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve in the stunning Torridon region of the Scottish Highlands. The summit is 3,258 feet (993 m) in height and is formed of red Torridonian sandstone but grey/white quartzite is found on the upper slopes. The airy ridge between here and Ruadh-stac Mòr is a real treat.

Beinn Eighe is a superb Mountain, and a good introduction to the Torridon hills. This peak, though a little exposed on the summit has a straight forward ascent from the roadside carpark.
The summit of this Munro is not the trig point but a cairn to the east of it.

The first of two Munros in the Beinn Eighe area. One of the most beautiful tours I have ever done in Scotland. But of course the weather played along.
