Weeg is located on the right slope of the Werschbach valley near Marienfeld. During the Second World War, Weeger citizen Wilhelm Höhner (1881–1963) vowed that he would build a chapel in Weeg if the place and the soldiers in the field were spared. Construction of the chapel began in 1948 and was inaugurated on May 1, 1949 as the Marienkapelle. May devotions are held here every year. Gerhard Stümper also built some crossroads on the Kirchweg to Much.
