In the 50s, mainly horse breeding (Arabian horses) and fruit farming are said to have been practiced here. (Oral information from contemporary witnesses). The court belonged to Tambach Castle, i.e. the Counts of Ortenburg.

Mountainbiking

I'm always very interested in historical places - but here I was really disappointed. If I hadn't heard Wolfgang's explanation, I would have thought the place was a wild dumping ground for building rubble. Important: The sign says "Tambach 4.3 km", but because of the wildlife park, this path leads close to Witzmannsberg - so basically all the way around.
