Typical of the Dutch early Baroque style cathedral is its long golden spire, which is one of the city's landmarks.
The total length of the bell tower is 122.5 meters. The flying angel with a 7 meter high cross in his hand, a weathervane, crowns the gilded spire.
For a long time, the Peter-Paul Cathedral was one of the tallest buildings in the city and even in Russia.
