Vandring

The vineyard "Handthaler Stollberg" is unique in Franconia. It is at an altitude of about 440 m above sea level. NN the highest wine situation of Franconia - and now also one of the "magical places" of Franconian wine. Tucked away in the forest above the vineyards is the ruin of the formerly proud Stollburg.

The Stollberg (near the town of Handthal) is over 470 meters high and the highest vineyard at least in Franconia. Almost at the top is the ruins of the Stollburg. It is said to be the birthplace of minnesinger Walther von der Vogelweide.
