The old malt house of the Schwanen brewery has long since become an eye-catcher on Carl-Theodor-Straße, straight on the Schnur.
Martin Kleinschmitt took over the management of the Schwanen brewery in 1882. Under his direction, the brewery was relocated to the southern part of the city in 1895 for reasons of space.
In 1978, the Binding brewery in Frankfurt bought the company and closed operations that same year.

Noticeable listed brewery building. The tall building with the chimney on top stands out. The historic brewery was bought in the 1970s and stopped the brewing business.
