In the Gilardi estate in Allersberg you will learn everything about the history of the house and above all about the family that has shaped the whole place for years. From 1689, the Gilardi family produced leonian wire - that is, wire coated with precious metals using the technology from Lyon - and thus acquired a huge fortune.

This noble house from the baroque era once belonged to the family who became both successful and rich with their wire factory in Allersberg. She was raised to the nobility in 1757, which is why the company owners are also called "Allersberger wire barons". The house is named after Jacob Gilardi, an Italian who married into the family at the beginning of the 18th century.

The GilardiHaus, a listed building, is to be given a new, up-to-date use through the planned general renovation. The GilardiHaus was the home of the Allersberg wire barons, who were ennobled at the beginning of 1757. A castle-like house, named after Jacob Gilardi, a Milanese man who married into the Leon wire factory in 1708 and brought the wire drawing mill in Allersberg to its prime. Built 1723-1728 by Gabriel de Gabrieli. Owned by the Allersberg market since 2006.
