From 1689, the Gilardi family produced leonian wire - that is, wire coated with precious metals using the technology from Lyon - and thus acquired a huge fortune.

The GilardiHaus, a listed building, is to be given a new, up-to-date use through the planned general renovation. The GilardiHaus was the home of the Allersberg wire barons, who were ennobled at the beginning of 1757. A castle-like house, named after Jacob Gilardi, a Milanese man who married into the Leon wire factory in 1708 and brought the wire drawing mill in Allersberg to its prime. Built 1723-1728 by Gabriel de Gabrieli. Owned by the Allersberg market since 2006.

The Gilardi House was built in 1723-1728 by factory owner Jacob Gilardi according to plans by Gabriel de Gabrieli, it was once the seat of the oldest Leonese wire goods factory in Germany (founded 1689), renovated in 1950, there are noteworthy stucco work inside; Curved portal with coat of arms of the Gilardi family (1756 imperial nobility), clock tower on the roof. The house has been owned by Markt Allersberg since 2006.
