That was a former seaman's school.
According to Wikipedia: From its foundation in 1866 until its closure around 1930, the Bogø Navigation School has helped to strengthen Bogø's reputation as a lake. It was by no means a given that there was a navigation school on Bogø. In 1919 there were only seven state-approved navigation schools in Denmark: Copenhagen, Bogø, Fanø, Marstal, Rømø, Svendborg and Aalborg. In 1922, the navigation school was taken over by the municipality of Bogø from the I / S Bogø Navigation School.

Christen Berg was the first headmaster of the seafaring school on Bogoe By and later the left MP. After the war in 1864, Christen Berg announced that a special shipping line should be expanded for the young seafarers who returned home in winter and were looking for school. His proposal was recommended by the navigation director, Commander G. Tuxen, by the Association for the Promotion of Maritime Affairs in JC Tuxen and by the shipowner Frederik Stage, who had the first training ship Georg Stage built a little later.
