Castle Burgk (there is still a name equality in Saale-Orla district) is surrounded by a park in the district Burgk, in which the Freitaler Stadtmuseum Haus der Heimat is located. In the adjoining building are the Municipal Collections Freital, with many Dresden artists - a very successful small collection!

Burgk Castle and Castle Park in Freital-Burgk.

Information:

Former manor house at the foot of the Windberg hill. It is a listed building. Since 1946, it has housed the Freital Museum, the Freital Municipal Collections, which had been established in 1924. The listed park is based on the pleasure gardens of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. In the 19th century, it was redesigned in the style of an English landscape garden.
