Vandring
The cable car takes you quickly to the Monte district, about 500 m above sea level. During the trip you have a wonderful view of Funchal and the sea. You should definitely afford the ride down on one of the wooden sledges, an unforgettable experience.

Definitely choose the gondola ride. The return trip per person is 18 euros which is well worth it. A magnificent view over Funchal and the south coast is guaranteed and the journey is pleasantly quiet. 6 people fit in a gondola.
