Vandring
In the quarries of S'Hostal, over the centuries, the Marès rock was mined, from which the houses and buildings of Ciutadella are built.
In 1994, the mining was stopped there and in 1995 the non-profit association Líthica rented this place to clean it and upgrade it as a natural area, since the quarries were previously used as landfill.
The quarries were declared cultural heritage in 1997 as cultural heritage.
Opening hours: Daily from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm and 4.30 pm to
Sunset,
Sundays from 9.30 to 14.30.
Admission: Adults - 6 €, children under 12 years - free

Vandring
When we left the quarry at 2.30 p.m., the ticket offices were closed and admission was free. The tour is signposted and really worth seeing.

The ticket price is 7€ now. To go in the morning you need to buy tickets online! Avoid the midday heat.
