Júzcar, known as the Blue Village, is a picturesque village in the province of Málaga, famous for its blue-painted houses. This colour change was made in 2011 for the world premiere of the film "The Smurfs". Although it was initially a temporary campaign, the inhabitants decided to keep the blue colour due to the increase in tourism.

All of the town's house facades and even the church were whitewashed blue for the filming of the film "The Smurfs" in 2011. In a vote towards the end of the year, residents were asked whether the houses should remain blue or should be returned to their original white condition. 33 residents voted for the color white, 141 residents for blue. This means that Júzcar will remain blue and is considered the first Smurfs' village in the world. Definitely worth a visit, is located in the middle of the mountains on a slope.

Sjov smølfeby, hvis husfacader er malet blå, da landsbyen blev udvalgt til en smølffilm. En senere afstemning blandt landsbyboerne resulterede i, at de beholdt den blå farve som husmaling. Nogle huse har malerier, der er også et lokalt kort, som peger på attraktionerne.
