The 25th of April Bridge is a suspension bridge in Lisbon, Portugal, very similar to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge. It crosses the Tagus River, connecting the capital to the city of Almada. Inaugurated in 1966 as the Salazar Bridge, it was renamed after the Carnation Revolution on April 25, 1974, in commemoration of the end of the dictatorship. It is a vital structure that carries both vehicles and trains.

In the early morning you are usually almost alone there and can enjoy the spectacular view of the river, the bridge and Lisbon.

Magnificent hike, great views, but it would have been even nicer if you had only done the round trip on the cliffs, not the loop.

It’s quite a large beach, with soft sand, offering plenty of space for everyone, with dunes as far as the eye can see. The calm water of the lagoon attracts families, but the waves of the ocean are for surfers and bodyboarders.
