Improved turn-by-turn directions means navigation on Android is clear even with more complicated routes
December 22, 2022
When you plan routes that resemble spaghetti, detour off the trail to visit a cake shop, or head along the same road twice in different directions, navigation can get a little tricky. We’ve been busy learning from these complications and have improved our turn-by-turn directions, so Tours on Android mobile devices should lead you where you want to go even if you’ve plotted a loop-the-loop.

To solve this, we’ve updated our direction detection so no matter what shape route you’re embarking on, you’ll now be notified the moment you start going in the wrong direction.
When the app detects you’re going the opposite way, it’ll ask you if you want to reverse the …
