This means you don’t need to scroll through the planned Tours on your Garmin device – the Tour you want will pop straight up whether you plotted it today or two months ago.

December 22, 2022

When you plan routes that resemble spaghetti, detour off the trail to visit a cake shop, or head along the same road twice in different directions, navigation can get a little tricky. We’ve been busy learning from these complications and have improved our turn-by-turn directions, so Tours on Android mobile devices should lead you where you want to go even if you’ve plotted a loop-the-loop.

When you plan or import a circular Tour, the route will either run clockwise or counterclockwise. That means it can be easy to set off in the wrong direction for your Tour. To solve this, we’ve updated our direction detection so no matter what shape route you’re embarking on, you’ll now be notified the moment you start going in the wrong direction.

When the app detects you’re going the opposite way, it’ll ask you if you want to reverse the

You’ll get a better overall impression of the bends in a trail while you navigate with komoot or non-Garmin partner devices, and the awesome knock-on effect is that both the tour length estimation and the elevation profile are more accurate now too.
