An extraordinary mountain experience awaits you around the panoramic Seehorn. With the glittering Pillersee at your feet, you climb the 2,155 meters and thus complete a considerable part of the well-known Nuaracher Höhenweg. Surefootedness is an absolute must on this partly secured hiking trail! The tour starts in the heart of Ortisei. You can find the perfect connection to get to your starting point here: kitzbueheler-alpen.com/de/pital/mobil.html. Then you turn your back on civilization directly.First you climb steadily uphill through a magical pine forest to the so-called Bräuplatte. From here you can already see the summit cross. The path now requires a little more concentration: You hike a bit through rocky mountain pine slopes. Past a helicopter landing pad and over a hollow you will soon be standing at the homecoming cross that adorns the summit of the Ulrichshorn. It's really nice up here - surrounded by rocky companions and the valley at your busy feet. But you want more. You climb a few meters back downhill, then you follow the partly rope-secured path over rock passages and a ridge to the Seehorn. Here you can enjoy the view. You go back the same way that brought you up.

    1. PillerseeTal - Kitzbüheler Alpen

After you have woken up with fresh energy in the Schmidt-Zabierow hut, you can let the morning sun tickle you during the first ascent up to the Waidringer Nieder. By reaching this elevation, you have already made most of the altitude meters to be completed today. Now it goes over the north side of the Kleiner Hinterhorn and a beautiful ridge towards Mitterhorn, the highest point of the Nuaracher Höhenweg at 2,506 meters. And the following section of the path is just as promising as this summit shows: It goes over an exposed ridge that absolutely requires surefootedness. How to get to the summit collection: The three Rothörner (Eastern Rothorn, Großes Rothorn and Rothörndl) as well as the Seehorn await you. Sooner or later the path with number 612 will lead you back into the valley, which on the one hand has magnificent rock formations for you, on the other hand also demands maximum concentration from you: The ridge between Schaflegg and Seehorn in particular proves to be a great challenge. From the Ulrichshorn back down, the path is crisp, steep and partly insured. Fortunately, shortly before the end you will pass the local Kneipp facility and treat your tired feet to a treat. If you arrived by bus yesterday, you can find out how to get back to your accommodation here: kitzbueheler-alpen.com/de/pital/mobil.html.

The Nuaracher Höhenweg is an experience for all the senses: With your eyes fixed on the proud mountains, nothing in your ears but wonderful silence, you hike on this first stage up to the Schmidt-Zabierow-Hütte, where you can expect tasty refreshments. A hike that you will remember for a long time. But first things first.Your two-day adventure begins in the district of Weißleiten im Lastal, which you can also easily reach by bus (kitzbueheler-alpen.com/de/pital/mobil.html). You get on the path with the number 613 and follow its course through the forest and over the idyllic stream bed. Soon it will be a little steeper.Continuing through the forest, which is now also interspersed with mountain pines, you march past a hunting lodge up to a scree field. You can already read about your stage destination on the signs here. By first descending through the Ulricher pit with its impressive karst formations, then on to the Wehrgrubenjoch and, last but not least, over steep, rope-insured rock steps into the large weir pit, you will soon reach it.A warm bed is waiting for you in the hut. You can also strengthen yourself properly and recharge your energy reserves. Part two of your adventure will follow tomorrow.

A unique mountain world, lively water and a rustic refreshment stop await you on your round to the Schießlingalm. A wonderful tour at the foot of the mighty Leoganger Steinberge, which not only pleases "grown" hikers due to its abundance of water. It starts right in the center of St. Ulrich am Pillersee, which you can reach on foot or by bus, depending on which accommodation you stayed in. You can find more detailed information about mobility on site here: kitzbueheler-alpen.com/de/pital/mobil.html.The path first leads you past the local Kneipp facility, then always along the Lasbach stream to the Weißleiten district. Idyllic paths lead you uphill for a while. Then you are already standing in front of the Schießlingalm at 1,217 meters. The Alm tempts you to take a break with a view of the rocky mountains that surround you here. The finest Tyrolean home-style cooking is served. And if you are properly strengthened, you can make your way back. A little dangling lets you take the Schießlingkreuz with you before you walk back to the starting point over the Grieseltal with its dreamy stream accesses.

This tour with an alpine character takes you like the first tour into the beautiful mountains around the Wildseelodersee. You can look forward to exposed views into the depths, steep passages, a swinging rope bridge and two peaks. From the rustic Wildseeloderhaus you follow a narrow meadow path to the via ferrata. With safe steps and your via ferrata equipment, you climb along the rock faces and over a steel cable bridge to the striking Moroccan summit - a true epic spot with incredible panoramic views. From the 1,992-meter-high Morocca, it continues to the neighboring summit of the hen, which is only a stone's throw away. When you arrive at the summit cross, you look down to the dark shimmering Wildseeloder lake and the picturesque Kitzbühel Alps. Your camera will not be given a break. From the Henne summit you hike down on a green ridge towards the Hochhörndl lift station. There you keep to the right and the round tour takes you over lush alpine meadows back to the Wildseeloderhaus - fantastic views of the Wildseeloder lake included. You can experience an incredible atmosphere in the early morning after an overnight stay in the Wildseeloderhaus. The best time to climb the Moroccan summit via the via ferrata is between June and October. You should definitely pay attention to dry weather. As an alternative, you can also choose the normal hiking trail. You can reach the starting point at Wildseeloderhaus from the Lärchfilzkogel mountain station in an hour's walk.

Summit, summit and even more summits: from the 2,044 meter high Spielberghorn you can see the Loferer and Leoganger Steinberge, the Wilder Kaiser, the Hohe Tauern and the Berchtesgaden Alps. We recommend that you pack an extra memory card for your camera. The starting point of the hike is at the cozy Gasthof Eiserne Hand. If you want to travel by public transport, the Hochfilzen Feistenau bus stop is around a 20-minute walk away or the Fieberbrunn Wachau stop is around an hour's walk away. From the inn you hike along the babbling Spielbergbach through the forest. It alternates between lush meadows and uphill through shady forests. After four kilometers, the rows of trees clear up and give a view of an idyllic alpine pasture. The beautiful garden of the Burgeralm inn invites you to rest and refresh yourself. The path then becomes steeper and you climb up to the Spielbergtörl. You can already enjoy fantastic views here, but it gets even better.A promising ridge leads to the summit of the Spielberghorn, the highlight of this hike. After enjoying the breathtaking all-round view, taking a photo and entering yourself in the summit book, you descend the same way down to the Eiserne Hand inn. You experience particularly epic moments in the Steinberge at sunrise - this tour can be combined well with an overnight stay at the Spielberghaus.
