If you love grandiose views, then this hiking route in the NaturWanderPark delux is just right for you. The southern edge of the Islek gives you impressive views over the Bitburger Gutland, which is 300 meters below. When the air is clear, even the Hunsrück peaks at the Scheuerdell viewpoint are almost within reach. The route offers other eye-catchers, for example the pilgrimage church in Weidingen, which is well worth seeing and which began in the early 14th century. But also the Fischbacher Chapel, which is enthroned on a rock spur, invites you to linger awhile. The idyllic valleys of the Radenbach and the Burscheider Bach provide an intense experience of nature. And if all these diverse perspectives are still not enough for you, then you can get a bird's eye view from the Utscheider glider airfield.

Three deeply cut red sandstone gorges put their stamp on this hiking tour in the NaturWanderPark delux. Hardly anyone suspects that these natural spectacles are hidden in the wooded slopes of the Ringsbach valley. The hike above the southern, largest gorge gives you a fascinating view of the walls and cascades made of red sandstone. You can see the scenic transition from Bitburger Gutland to Islek here. The route doesn’t save with beautiful views of the expansive Enz Valley. The nature reserve "Tongruben" is evidence of former clay mining. Today the pit provides habitat for endangered birds, amphibians, reptiles and insects. At the same time, it is a suitable location for regenerative energy generation. A solar park for environmentally friendly power generation was built there by the municipality of Utscheid. The natural landscape at the "Roten Puhl", the bunded sandstone impact slope on the Enz at the start and end of the route, is particularly impressive.

If you need medicine for your stressed soul, you will get it in high doses on this hiking tour in the NaturWanderPark delux. The doctor licensed here is the quiet, untouched valley of the Prüm.The Prüm is special and will enchant you on your hike: It is impressive how deep the river has dug itself into the slate over millions of years and has created a varied range of loops, breakthroughs, valley expansions and river terraces.A particularly beautiful example of this is the Ritscheberg, on whose mountain spur there are remains of a prehistoric ring wall. The slopes of the Prüm Valley offer diverse forest images. The 300-year-old Napoleon Oak owes its name to Napoleon Bonaparte, who came through the Prüm Valley in 1812 and is said to have stopped here. In addition, the route spoils you again and again with different, charming views of the surrounding landscape.

If you go on a hiking tour in the atmospheric Kammerwald in the NaturwanderPark delux, you should be aware that you are walking on old smugglers' paths, which still give an adventurous impression today. You will hardly be able to escape this mysterious aura of the forest, which belonged to the Count of Vianden until the end of the feudal period (1794).Imposing oak trees give the Kammerwald something magical. The magnificent royal oak in particular, one of the oldest trees in the West Eifel at 350 years old, exudes majestic dignity with its five-meter circumference and 32-meter height. The beautiful, open valley of the Gaybach has its own magic. At Scheierhaff you will be greeted by a wonderful view of Vianden Castle on the opposite side of the Our.

On this fascinating hiking tour in the NaturWanderPark delux, there is not only wonderful impressions of nature but also a lot of man-made things to admire.Until the 1950s, the Our, as a small stream, looped its loop around Bivels, which at that time looked very different; The St. Nicolas mountain still had a hilltop and there was no reservoir yet. Today's landscape, on the other hand, bears witness to one of the most impressive building projects in Luxembourg from the middle of the last century. One of the largest pumped storage power plants in Europe is almost invisible here at Vianden. Deep beneath your route, the tides rush in giant tubes between the reservoir and the upper basin on Mont St. Nicolas. The copper mine in Stolzemburg, which you will reach later on the route, tells a much older mining history. And much older: the history of Falkenstein Castle, from which the house and castle ruins have been preserved. Today the castle is privately owned.

This hiking route in the NaturWanderPark delux is like a journey into the past. Even in the last century, numerous mills rattled on the Our. Weirs were built in many places - dead ends for the stream inhabitants. You will be accompanied by the babbling of the river along the entire route - from the hiking car park in Dasburg to the village of the same name and back on the other side. These weirs were recently dismantled in a cross-border nature park project and fish ladders were built. Now the brown trout can move upstream again to their spawning grounds. In addition to flour, oak bark, the tan, was ground in the mills. Eichenlohe contains tanning agents for leather tanning. The oak bark was obtained in low oak forests, the tanned hedges. A welcome source of income for the formerly very poor population.Dasburg towers proudly over the valley and the town of the same name. There is even an old tannery here, a detour to this picturesque spot is worthwhile.

This hike is certainly the most densely wooded of all Eifel tours in the delux nature hiking park. The color palette of the wet and broken forests of this highest forest in the North Eifel Nature Park changes with each season. It is almost flat through the headwaters of the Alfbach, which is fed by dozens of rivulets, moors and ponds. To protect fauna and flora, the path leads you over boardwalks in particularly sensitive areas. Here you will discover rare plants such as bell heather or forest lice herb.About halfway, the forest backdrop opens up to the grandiose “three-country view”. Here a platform invites you to linger and, in good weather, offers you a unique view of the hills of Islek, Ösling and the High Fens.

The name of this hiking route in the NaturWanderPark delux is the Schankweiler Klause. It is a real gem with its rich baroque architecture. However, this tour also counts as a valley tour, as it opens up the Enz and Prümtal valleys in an impressive manner from various perspectives. You hike on the 17-kilometer route between the picturesque, rugged rock massifs and the typical Südeifel orchard meadow landscape, which creates an enchanting picture in spring when the fruit is in bloom. In addition to the hop fields, they testify to the mild climate that prevails here.Even those interested in history do not miss out: numerous prehistoric and early historical monuments prove a settlement history that is thousands of years old. The Celts and Romans obviously felt very comfortable here and may have enjoyed the wonderful panoramic views even then.

This hiking route in the NaturWanderpark delux offers everything a hiker's heart desires: culture, nature, impressive views. The Irrel waterfalls alone are worth a trip. Over a length of 140 meters, the Prüm rushes through the mighty rocks.Did you know that one of the best hops in Germany is grown near Holsthum? This is where the largest hop growing area in Rhineland-Palatinate is located. The cat's head bunker with its Westwall Museum gives an impression of the warlike events on the Westwall. From here you can see the converging valleys of Nims and Prüm. The origin of the Prümerburg, the ruins of which on a rock bastion offer a wonderful view of the valley, lies in the dark of history.Proof that the Romans liked it here is the Roman Villa Holsthum, the foundations of which have been exposed.

This route requires a bit of perseverance - so either get up early or simply plan two days for this varied hiking tour in the NaturWanderPark delux. You will be rewarded for this with a multifaceted nature experience including blooming meadows, stately beech forests and bizarre rocky landscapes. You can take a varied break in the hands-on museum in the Tudor Castle in Rosport. Particularly obese with the kids, but also very entertaining for adults.Wild orchids thrive on the sun-warmed shell limestone slopes, while mosses, lichens and ferns feel particularly at home in the cool ravines. At night the eagle owl hunts here and during the day the peregrine falcon, which has also become extremely rare.Felsenweg 4 follows the loops of the Sauer with many ascents and descents, again and again with magnificent valley and distant views. At the Girster Klause you have to take a rest, because time seems to stand still here. Rosport, known for its excellent mineral water, is also on the way.
