Idyllically nestled between green trees and shrubs, it lies there, the Höglwörther See. Surrounded by a peaceful landscape with a view of the mountains in the distance. A great destination for a short hike. The almost five-kilometer tour starts at the village square in Anger. On the Klosterweg you walk on a level track directly to the water. On the way you can give your cycle while kicking in the Kneipp facility even more kick. You circle the Höglwörther See, you come past the seaside resort and beautiful pause places with sea romance, until you stand in front of the monastery. The former Augustinian Monastery is located on a small peninsula in the lake. Look at the great inner courtyard of the monastery and the elegant stucco decoration inside the church. Back to the starting point, there are only 1.5 kilometers left.Definitely take time for a visit to the monastery. Afterwards, the beer garden of the neighboring monastery host beckons for a refreshment. On a warm day, you can cool off in the lake, so do not forget swimwear. In Anger on the village square you will find many restaurants and cafes to complete your tour.If you arrive by bus, you can get off at the village square in Anger. A place for your car can be found on the Scheiterparkplatz, about five minutes walk from the village square.
