Short groovy trail loop, on which it only goes downhill on trails. The trails are wonderfully laid out and a lot of fun. There are countless opportunities to jump, but everything can be run over or bypassed. Both beginners and experts get their money's worth here :) Of course, the length of the route is not enough for one day ... so the tour should either be driven several times or combined with the IVB "Hoch Hinaus". The length of the route was enough for us, as we already did a tour in the Palatinate Forest in the morning;) We took this trail delicacy with us on the drive home ... and it was definitely worth it!

Short tour with some uphill trails, but few downhill trails (approx. Only 10%). The trails are on average S0-S1. Towards the end of the tour you pass the beautiful Bobenthal ... the world seems to be fine here :) The last 5km are leisurely on a paved bike path along an idyllic river back to the starting point. Cozy benches often invite you to take a break by the river. In summer you can definitely refresh yourself here :)

Landschaflich beautiful tour through the Palatinate Forest. On this tour you have to complete a lot of uphill trails, some of them very steep. Without a motor, you definitely can't drive all parts of the uphill and you probably don't have much fun either. The route is therefore mainly suitable for e-bikers. The average difficulty is around S1. with S2 key points. The proportion of downhill trails is only around 10%.

High up to panoramic viewpoints. Fascinating rock formations and beautiful descents characterize this mountain bike tour.
Immediately after our starting point, it goes to the first demanding climb, past the Falkenburg ruins. This rock castle should be visited extensively: not only the beautiful view, but also the legendary castle ruins themselves are worthwhile. After a short trail descent, it goes steadily uphill, varied on trails and forest paths up to the Hermersbergerhof. Here, too, you should make a detour to the nearby and well signposted Luitpold Tower: the view from up there is breathtaking, they say that you can see more than 100 peaks from there!
Then it goes downhill to Wilgartswiesen. Trails and beautiful forest paths alternate. After a short road trip, it goes straight up to Spirkelbach on forest paths, and then takes the Hermann Rinner path down. The switchbacks there are quite demanding: safe driving technique is required. Once at the bottom there is another driveway. Now we cross the villages of Lug and Schwanheim and go up again on forest roads. The following trail runs along the slope in a flowing manner. The switchbacks at the beginning are demanding, as they often decompose even with loose soil. In the lower part, the descent is wonderfully beautiful with wide curves and ends at the Stopper campsite in Hauenstein. Now we bike again, cropped on a short trail and then on asphalt road back to the starting point.

Trail tour that makes every mountain biker's heart beat faster! The climbs alternate with flowing, but also sometimes demanding trail descents.
The single trail area Hauenstein - Dahn united in one tour. From the starting point it goes first through the beautiful village of Hauenstein, and after a short drive-in time past the Hauenstein barbecue area, alternating on a trail and forest path over the Zimmerberg to the four beeches. After a short forest path, our first incredibly flowing and long downhill trail starts. This trail is one of the highlights of this tour, it winds nicely, first sloping a little steeper, then pulling itself down endlessly on the slope. Arrived directly at the Pirminius cycle path, we take it and then drive up a long but pleasantly rising ascent towards the Hinterweidenthal. This effort is also worthwhile: afterwards it goes back down, sometimes demanding on a beautiful narrow path. We continue past the natural lakes "Rohrwoog". The path is idyllic along the water. The following bridging stretch, cropped on forest roads, ends below the Gersbergerkopf. The imposing rock formation "Roman Rocks" is also located here. The small detour is worthwhile, as it is easy to climb and offers a wonderful view. After this detour, it's time to go downhill again. The following hairpin bend trail is one of the most demanding in the area, here a multitude of serpentines, some of which are very steep and exposed, have to be mastered. After this adrenaline trail, it goes past the tranquil town of Erfweiler, first on a forest road, then on an asphalt side road to the Bärenbrunnerhof. A stop here is recommended. The organic products of the farm are known far beyond the borders. Then it goes steeply uphill again, directly past the impressive high rock formation "Honigfels". Our last ascent leads us directly to a descent down to Schwanheim and from there it goes back to Hauenstein to the train station.
