About Radtreff Campus Bonn e.V.

To the foothills, with beautiful viewsFrom Landgrabenweg flat through Beuel, at the north bridge over the Rhine, on through Graurheindorf to Hersel, flat over the fields towards Bornheim to Sechtem. There a further flat section, and then an easy climb (90 m over 2 km) on side roads up to the height of the Rösberg water tower. Continue through the village of Hemmerich. Then you can enjoy a wide view of Bonn and Cologne). From Brenig it goes back down to the original level. We cross Bornheim and Roisdorf, pass Alfter and move towards Tannenbusch. Here the development becomes denser and we come back to the north bridge via Buschdorf. From there more or less on the same route as at the beginning back to the Landgrabenweg.

There is also a version of our originally planned route for the return trip, adapted for driving without a car or motorcycle crew: From Aachen main station, first make a detour to the three-country point and into the Netherlands, along the border. Heinsberg, Düren and again Rheinbach were planned as stopovers.

A version of our originally planned route, adapted for driving without a car or motorcycle team: On small paths out of Bonn and from Monschau on the Vennbahn cycle path to Aachen, namely to the main train station.
We had planned stops in the beautiful towns of Rheinbach, Blankenheim and Monschau - but there are also other nice places to rest on the way.

Many slopes around the Sahrbach valley. ChallengingThe way from Bonn leads over the ascent at the forest hospital through the Kottenforst and the well-tried way to Dernau. In the Ahr valley, the path leads through the Ahr valley to Kreuzberg. There the route switches to the bike path towards Ahrbrück. You can also use the federal road. This option is unsuitable for group trips. In Ahrbrück the "Col de Lind" is waiting, a long climb of 4 km with initial hairpin bends, long straights and a steep section in the village. After a few "waves" you come to the L76 road, which also leads to the Effelsberg radio telescope. However, the routes lead to the Sahrtal valley - to Kirchsahr. It is about 3 km from Kirchsahr to Burgsahr. The village is on the left side of the L76 and is the entrance to the next climb to Winnen. This driveway is something for "compact drivers". Otherwise you have to be able to "kick" very well in the steep, narrow hairpin bends. Once you've reached Winnen, the worst is over. To collect kilometers, the route leads via Lanzerath, Eichen, Freisheim and Berg to Hilberath. Alternatively, the "wall" can be built in via Houverath. The way back to Bad Godesberg via Pecher Landstraße is the tried and tested "speed variant". The legs can be "loosened" again on the banks of the Rhine.
