Today we went to Grandpa because the short one wanted an overnight stay there. After a coffee to warm up, we went back home without a child and with a headlamp. And Vatta ... thanks for the schnapps 😉

Hiking in the snow is really nice ... Unfortunately the snow here is too powdery to build snowballs or a ⛄. It was still fun and was really good.

Wow, great run today in the great weather. After the shower there was a crackling with sockeye wild salmon and baby spinach.@Philipp: If it continues like this, then I may not shorten the Edersee. 👍💪👊

Today we went to my hometown Witten. I hiked a tour there, which I saw a long time ago at komoot. Due to the weather, I packed my mountain boots, because they can just take more. As it turned out, that was a great idea, as the condensation had already turned the paths into mud. I parked the car on Ardeystraße because the hiking parking lot was full (both free of charge). The tour took me far away from the main roads in places, which was very interesting. You have to be careful here, however, as the smaller trails are used by bikers. So I wasn't surprised when I suddenly ran through a bike park. The hike was very varied and also offered a few nice, albeit short, climbs. I recommend taking children over 10 years with you. Hiking shoes are also required here.

Today we went to the Sauerland. The circular hike is an official route on the Sauerland forest route. This stretches from Iserlohn to Marsberg and includes approx. 342 km. You can find more information here: sauerland-waldroute.de. We started at a parking lot on Höpkeweg in Sundern-Amecke. This is free from November to March and costs 4.50 euros per day for the rest of the year. You start nicely on the shore of the Sorpesees and slowly climb up into the forest. At half time you are back at the lake at the dam and can take a break here. There is a campsite with a kiosk and seating. Then it goes uphill again into the forest until you finally come out again at the parking lot. A very nice tour that can also be hiked as a family.
