About Hans Durst

Today we finished the SMQ Road for the first time.
After a restful night at the Hotel 'Weißes Roß' in Marienberg, the really great breakfast started again at 7:30. This time the shorter lap over the Fichtelberg.
It was pretty fresh until early afternoon. Later the sun came out and on the Bärenstein we had a great panorama with a delicious Pils on tap.
The topography is very different today than yesterday, it is constantly uphill or downhill, garnished with very flat passages. The runs are fantastic. One or the other S-curve requires the greatest confidence in his bike, which makes you happy.
Back at the hotel, we were allowed to take a shower and were added to the finisher list.
A completely successful weekend, the Erzgebirge and its Arzjebirchler are something very special.
Thanks again to the hotel staff for your kindness and first-class service. That was really great.translated by•View Original

Today with a lot of headwind, actually a few vertical meters would have to be credited for this. 😀
It started very early in Weimar today. Around 8:00 we were in Marienberg in the hotel 'Weißes Roß'. Fortunately, we were able to move into one of our rooms, store all our clothes and change our clothes.
With a cup of coffee, we decided (unlike originally planned) to tackle the somewhat longer tour right away.
The tour itself is a circular course with 12 stamp points with approx. 300km and 5000hm.
The stamp cards were available directly at the hotel at the reception, so we could go straight away.
It went slowly up and down, exactly the right thing for my rather short gear drive.
There was a bit of excitement after all. One or the other stamp location is pretty hidden. This is certainly due to the route changeover to Corona Edition, since this year the Czech border could not be crossed, at least initially. Well, at least we missed the 'Blockhausen' stamp. Another group later explained to us exactly where we should have looked.
On the way we headed for one or the other baker, cake and coffee are simply the best on tour. At least to the point where you can no longer see the sugar in the energy bars and drinks. Right there was a country meat shop with a snack and a very nice and Stoneman-enthusiastic owner family on the route. We had a great chat with you and were able to refill our drinking bottles. Soljanka and goulash soup gave us a real boost for the rest of the round.
Due to the strong headwind and the longer breaks, we had quite a bit of time in the end. The kitchen in the hotel was still waiting for us and we had a pleasantly regenerative night.Continue to day 2: komoot.de/tour/217398256translated by•View Original
