Ridden in one go, this Tour on the edge of the Scottish Highlands is a long, challenging gravel bike adventure that will keep you on the road for a whole day. But, if that's too much for you, you can easily break it up into smaller rides. The ‘Southern Loop’, which is almost 33 kilometres (20.5 miles) long, takes you from the small village of Aberfoyle through the traffic-free Queen Elizabeth Forest Park and onto the shores of Loch Ard, one of the most picturesque lakes in Scotland. North of Aberfoyle, more stunning lakes await as you pass no less than six lochs, each beautiful in its own right. From the road, you don’t catch many glimpses of the water, but you can expect wide views from the remote gravel paths. You can easily shorten this ‘Northern Loop’ at various points to suit your timetable and fitness level.
Pack your bikepacking bags on your bike and make it an unforgettable overnight adventure!
