Inspired by Hörbi's report on the wild ingot
We made our way today. A few variations but by and large we stayed in the area.At the beginning following the signs and then on lonely paths we found a track in the southern slope of the mountain. The cuts in the fallen trees showed us that there was a path. But it was definitely not a highly frequented route. We walked lonely through the forest and then steeply upwards. More and more often we had the magnificent view of the Kaiser and later on the summit in the foothills of the Alps and on the other side to the Venediger. You can even swim up there! It is actually hard to believe from below that the forest hump has long lonely paths, steep climbs, a paddling pool and such views in store. Thanks for the tip! 😃🙏👍

After we ventured further and further out on our exploration tours around home and the routes still worked as a daily workload, we now wanted to test what it feels like to sit in the saddle for two days in a row.In theory, the saddlebags were big enough to be able to take everything with you, at least when the weather was nice and a hotel bed.Saturday morning it started on a kind of “feeder to Schönau, where the tour should also complete its round. The striking spiers announced Tuntenhausen from afar and from then on it was strictly in the direction of Rosenheim.Over the Inn to the Simsee and clockwise all around with a violently steep ascent to the Ratzinger Höhe, we mastered the greatest challenge and celebrated with fries and shandy at the Tinninger See.Now all that was left to do was to roll as far as Neubeuert and to recultivate in the Burgdacherl. The second day then started with a beautiful Inn Cycle Path, a detour to Lake Hawaii and a swim in Lake Reischenhart. Then it went across on Sunday busy cycle paths, against the wind to Bad Feilnbach for coffee and cake in the Moosmühle and back home.Summary:
The weather is perfect, the paths are great, the landscape is beautiful and indescribable or undescribed, the many nice encounters along the way ... 😃 ...

We just wanted to go behind the Inn! 😎And we found:
- The Schnaitsee transmission tower, which you can see all the way to us. 🗼
- Wonderful lonely paths 🗺 whether tar or sand, or forest or field ...
- The first street café sitting ☕️🍰 in a long time.
- Culture shock in Garching 😵💫
- Snack at the Alz 🏞
- Exercise on your return to Schnaitsee. 🦵💪👍🤩

The weather report at half mast and actually nothing planned. These are the best prerequisites to simply pedal through the area a little and maybe to take a closer look at one or the other dead end to see if it really is one.Today I can say: Yes! 🤠

Vacation day in rainy May ... no problem when there are interesting mystery caches to discover. The end position is not revealed on the map (I pressed pause on the Garmin 🤓)So what is coord.info/GC57QYM about"Presumably in July 1944 an American B17“ Flying Fortress ”flew an attack on Munich. Damaged by flak fire, the machine turned off and clicked over Moosach, for example
the last bomb in the bomb bay. "
The target coordinates where it is taken can be calculated. And the story might actually be true:
(Read up in the Mission Reports at 8thafhs.com/missions.php and at b17flyingfortress.de)
- During the attacks on July 12th and 13th, 1944, some machines turned in the area
- They usually flew at around 25000ft. This one was already lower due to damage.
- And there were emergency landings of B-17s in Switzerland on the two days
- THERE IS ACTUALLY A CRATER at the target coordinates! And why "rainforest"? Look at the photos 😂

Shortly before Aßling away from the main road 😎 and from then on only beautiful paths to Attel. There is no other way to say it. 🤩
The Rotter Forst was also not stingy with its beautiful spots. 🦆🐍🌳🦌
And the way back was definitely beautiful too, but keep your legs already difficult. 😅
