Small walk through the Bamberg grove and Bug🍃🐦🐿. Actually, I wanted to pay a visit to the mandarin duck at the grove pond. But apparently she has already moved on again. In addition to numerous ducks, I also met a heron The weather was fantastic and the foliage shone brightly.

In keeping with the time of year, I ran the Apfelrundweg (L2) today, which also goes past the water buffalo via Trabelsdorf and Feigendorf. After the frogs were croaking in the Trabeldorfer Weihern in spring, it was very quiet there today😉🐸By the way, I got the idea for this tour from bittnmni🙂 👍The path is also suitable for bad weather, as it unfortunately mostly leads over paved roads and asphalt. In addition to numerous directions, the municipality of Lisberg has published GPX files for download on its website:

There are so many beautiful paths around the Vogelsberg with great views of the Main Valley and Bamberg.Today's tour starts at the school in Bischberg and goes over the Vogelsberg to the Pfennigmarter, past the allotment gardens / weekend houses, the two Kühsee lakes, the Berganza animal shelter in Gaustadt and the Rothof stud farm. On the way to Weipelsdorf you pass the copper beech and the butcher's marter.

Today we went to Görauer Anger again (hiking car park in Zultenberg). From Görau there are two paths leading to Niesten: the Zillertal (beautiful forest path that leads past the Gräfinnenhöhle) or the Felsensteig (beautiful forest path on the slope that only goes a short distance over rocks secured with chains and leads directly to Niesten Castle). I decided on the Felsensteig today🧗. On the way back I saw a great sunset☀️

Nice, varied tour in Franconian Switzerland. Most of the highlights were in the first part: the imposing Riesenburg cave in Wiesenttal near Doos, Adlerstein near Engelhardsberg and the Quakenschloss. We walked across the plateau through fields and forests and past the goggles rock formation to the idyllic cake mill on the Aufseß. We continued in the Aufseßal on a beautiful, car-free valley path back to Doos, where the Aufseß flows into the Wiesent. Unfortunately, the "Café im Aufsesstal" in Doos is closed until further notice due to the corona. The last part we walked along the Wiesent back to the hiking car park at the giant castle.

A perfect tour to start autumn Schmachtenberg Castle ruins, Eselssteig, Winzertreppe and the Zeiler Käppele. The many butterflies like it there too🦋 In the vineyards it was pleasantly warm in the sun, but a cold wind was blowing on the plateau. Autumn is slowly coming

Today we went from the Schoenstatt Center on the Marienberg over the white Lahma to the natural monument Steinerne Rinne near Roschlaub🍂. The paths were sometimes very muddy and overgrown. Without GPS and komoot we would not have found the Steinerne Rinne🧭. It is hidden in the middle of the forest on a steep slope and the way there is not signposted. Then we enjoyed the wonderful view from the Hohe Metze in the icy wind🌬. Then we went back to the Schoenstatt Center and discovered the water turtle there🐢

My trip to Pottenstein today was under the motto "Heaven & Hell with a dash of romance" 👼👹🥰After I went down to hell in part 1 and visited the 👹 cave, part 2 continues with the romantic tour 🥰: over the wild and romantic upper Püttlachtal, past the high nose and up to the plateau with a great view. It goes on to the sky ladder. High up you feel a little closer to heaven👼 From the labyrinth I followed the Elisabeth-Weg, which leads over juniper slopes to the high control room. From there I enjoyed the beautiful view of Pottenstein at the beginning of the sunset.Link to the tour description (Tour 6 "Romantic Tour"):
