This tour is a well-known MTB route in Calderfornia and one that I don't claim any part in the making of, it is, however, a great route that will serve as a taster for what Todmorden and Hebden Bridge has to offer, yes it is testing in places and may well ask too much of the novice mountain biker but on the parts that are too technical for the novice there is no shame in getting off the bike and walking until a more do-able part begins. there is a steep climb that begins just after you leave the road into Hebden Bridge that goes on for quite a while but stick with it and get off and push if it becomes too much but be sure to make a note of just where you get off and try to make it further the next time that you do it.
The route has a fair bit of road in it but I think it's fair to call it a Mountain bike route because of the quality of the trails that form the MTB sections.August 21, 2020
