The Kupferdreher circular trail was recommended to me here last year. I have to say, it's beautiful ☺️. At the end, down by the lake, we left the trail for the last kilometer and stayed by the lake. The trail is well marked, so you could easily manage even without Komoot.

Great circular route around Essen-Kupferdreh, very well signposted. Only in Velbert Nierenhof are there no signs.
Ideal for a hike in summer - lots of shade.
A good starting point is the Essen Kupferdreh S-Bahn station or the car park at the Hespertalbahn.
A stop at Seelich with a great view of the lake is recommended. Great cuisine.

The first hike after the C -🦠. With a little effort we reached our start/finish point again, the Bf Kupferdreh.
The mobile phone was also against me and refused to take any more photos without any reason. 🤔 That's why there are fewer photos today.

For me one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Essen. Some idyllic narrow forest paths. Less well-known than the Baldeneysteig, so not as crowded.

Wow, a really great tour through beautiful scenery, lots of singletrack... the hike flew by... great group and good conversations.

100% recommended, everyone who lives in this area should do it at least once.

Yesterday we went on the Kupferdreher circular trail in Essen.
The path was quite nice, although in places it was a bit muddy and the paths had been somewhat destroyed by tractors.
But for the most part it was fine and there were beautiful views and sometimes really beautiful paths.

The starting point is a hiking car park, but you can also arrive by train (Essen-Kupferdreh station).

200m were completely muddy, but otherwise it was easy to walk.

We started a little late, so it got dark towards the end.
