The Polzen breakthrough (Průrva Ploučnice), also known as Hell's Gorge, Thunder or Devil's Hole, is man-made, but as early as the 16th century as an outlet for a reservoir and flood protection. Access from above is somewhat blocked by local residents, but is doable. Very impressive.
