At the Buschkamp near Haus Vogelsang in Ahsen, there is a nice rest area with an overview (hiking) map on the Hohe-Mark-Steig. From there you have a great view of the stork's nest in the Lippe-Auen. If you have a lot of time, you can watch the two storks incubating and raising their young in the spring.
