The Hengstlhütte is a cozy place to stop for refreshments above Puchberg am Schneeberg and a popular meeting place for hikers and day-trippers. Regional delicacies and cool drinks are served in a rustic atmosphere – ideal for a restorative break with a view of the surrounding mountains. The hut is situated on a sunny plateau and, on clear days, offers magnificent views all the way to the Schneeberg. To Hengsthütte at 1012 meters altitude many paths lead from the most diverse districts in Puchberg (577 m above sea level). Furthermore, the Hengsthütte starting point and stopover for many hiking opportunities in the area Schneeberg - Gahns - Hoher Stallion.
