Largest wooden church in France! After the Steinkirche was destroyed during the Hundred Years War, the inhabitants of Honfleur built this almost completely wooden church in the 15th century. The original form of an inverted double-hulled boat testifies to the fact that shipbuilders once worked here.

At Place Saint Catherine stands the church of the same name, which was entirely made of wood in the 15th century by shipwrights. The original profession of its builder is seen in the church: It consists of two twin ships and a roof construction analogous to the construction of ship hulls.
