Bubikopfallee / Erlengrund

In the 19th century, under the term of office of the Prussian Minister for Agriculture
, Victor von Podbielski, the planning of the connection between Park and
Deister added. The fountain gardener Carl Thon planted this with a ballpoint maple avenue (Acer platanoides, Globosum '). The avenue was named "Podbielskiweg" and is popularly known as the "Bubikopfallee".

The pond at the Erlengrund originated from the wasteland of the former mud reservoir and today is the green connection to the Deister mountain range. Reminded here
the Carl-Thon-way to his personality.

Carl Thon designed in the course of the park expansion from 1903
the area between Galenberg and Strutzberg im
mixed style. A scenic area with
Groups of trees and curved paths are supported by
a straight avenue of spherical maple, which runs through the
Erlengrund leads to the Strutzberg. Popularly will
this path is called "Bubikopfallee".

The Bubikopfallee connects the Kurpark with the Erlengrund. In the 19th century, under the tenure of the Prussian Minister of Agriculture, Victor von Podbielski, planning of the connecting route between Park and Deister began. The fountain gardener Carl Thon planted it with an avenue of spherical maple trees. The avenue bore the name "Podbielskiweg" and is popularly known as Bubikopfallee.
