Traditionally, the goal of the one-day classic Berlin-Leipzig was at the old Leipzig Trade Fair. Here, Täve Schur, Olaf Ludwig, Erich Schulz and Olaf Herkel celebrated their success after over 200 tough race kilometers.

The old trade fair in Leipzig refers to the approximately 50 hectare site on which the exhibitions of the technical trade fair took place from 1920 to 1991 as part of the Leipzig trade fair. The old trade fair in Leipzig means only the site and its superstructure, but not the Leipzig trade fair itself, which found a new home on the site of the new trade fair in 1996. There have been no trade fair activities at the old exhibition center since 1996.
