    The archaeological site of Amiternum is located in the Aterno Valley and was founded in the 3rd century BC. conquered by the Romans. The first settlement, located on the hill of San Vittorio, was moved to the valley during the imperial period, where you can still admire well-preserved witnesses such as an amphitheater, ruins of public baths and an aqueduct.
