Chhormrong is a large village, divided into two parts. Here there are small shops, guesthouses and refreshment points. There is a continuous coming and going of people, mules loaded with gas cylinders and sacks of food of all kinds.

The encounters with the people in this agricultural region are the real highlight of this trekking over many stairs. The Nepali are grateful for any friendly eye contact, they are happy about one or the other small gift - and especially the children are of a natural cordiality. Shy, curious, cheerful.
