Yürüyüş
The statue was designed by the sculptor Seibou Kitamura and is full of symbolism.
The sky-pointing right hand recalls the danger of nuclear weapons, while the outstretched left hand symbolizes eternal peace. The face of the statue embodies peace, the closed eyes suggest a prayer for the victims of the atomic bomb. His folded right leg symbolizes the meditation, while the left leg is firmly on the ground and asks us to stand up and help the world.
