Nice campsite with rustic huts and charming restaurant. Directly behind the house begins a beautiful, little-walked trail. This is marked as usual with wooden pegs. One or the other bridge on the way no longer exists. After a short search but find places where the streams can be crossed.

Right next to the restaurant live two polar foxes in their construction.

The arctic foxes are really a real (secret) tip! In addition, if the visibility is good, you have a view of the majestic Herðubreið - that can really get you wanderlust. At 469 m, Möðrudalur is the highest farm in the country that is still permanently inhabited and farmed.
