Perhaps the most recognisable landmark in the world, the Eiffel Tower has come to represent Paris and France. The wrought iron tower is 1,063 feet (324 m) tall and is the highest structure in Paris.
Designed by Maurice Koechlin and Emile Nouguier, the Eiffel Tower was built in 1886. Originally intended to be a temporary piece for the 1889 Exposition Universelle, the tower has gone on the become the world's most visited tourist attraction.
The Eiffel Tower is open from 9am to 00.45am. Ticket prices start from €10.20 and can be purchased online, here: toureiffel.paris/en
