The Scheppen family was once a noble fiefdom of Werden Abbey and was one of the largest feudal estates in Werden in the Middle Ages. Of the formerly closed four-wing complex, only a partial ruin remains, which is surrounded by moats. The parking lot in front of the complex is a popular meeting place for motorcyclists and day trippers, especially in summer. There is also a pier for the “White Fleet Baldeney” at Haus Scheppen.

At Haus Scheppen, there is one of the most famous motorcycle clubs in the region, which is known far beyond North Rhine-Westphalia. In good weather and especially on the weekends and public holidays, the place is full of beautiful motorcycles.
