Here you are in the small town of Pareoa, known mainly for its sparkling lemon drink "Lemon & Pareoa". The original idea dates back to 1907. It is a drink made from a source of naturally sparkling water mixed with lemon juice.
The company was bought by the giant Coca-Cola.
Paeroa is very close to the natural site of the Karangahe gorges and that is what makes this locality attractive to me.

This is the iconic giant Lemon and Paeroa bottle. It is a drink named after the township and unique to New Zealand. It was originally made from the natural spring water that had a fizzyness to it. It is now produced by Coca Cola bottlers and is a sweet sugary drink.
