The city of Toledo unveiled a statue in December 2025 dedicated to María Pacheco, known as the Lioness of Castile, a leader of the Comuneros and a key figure in the resistance of Toledo after the defeat at Villalar.
The sculpture is located:
In front of the Alcázar of Toledo.
The choice of location is not accidental: the Alcázar was the site from which María Pacheco directed the Comunero resistance in 1521.
