The most important facts about the Holy Spirit Church:
1/ The Holy Spirit Church at the Viktualienmarkt is the oldest hall church in Munich.
2/ It has been a hospital parish since 1271 and a city parish church since 1844.
3/ The church contains numerous works of art from different centuries, the high altar is particularly impressive.
4/ The church has four bells named Holy Spirit, Mary and Joseph, as well as the Breznreiter bell, which was only added in 2012. The latter is named after the medieval tradition of the Breznreiter, who brought food to the poor
