The artist studied between 1973 and 1976 with Prof. Peter Dreher at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. He was then a master student of Prof. Klaus Arnold, who was rector of the university at the time, until 1978. In 1984, Ulrich Julius Sekinger and others founded the artist association “The Untimely”. The sculptor and painter sees himself committed to narrative naturalism; formal experiments by risk-taking innovators are alien to him.

He then studied under Prof. Klaus Arnold, who was the rector of the university at the time, until 1978. Ulrich Julius Sekinger founded the artist association "Die Unzeitgemäßen" with others in 1984. The sculptor and painter sees himself as committed to narrative naturalism; formal experiments by risk-taking innovators are alien to him.
