the ascent to the Turtmannhütte is very beautiful and varied. From the Turtmannhütte it goes up to the Barrhorns (Outer Barrhorn 3610 m). Overnight stays in the hut with or without dinner or breakfast. On some weekends in summer it is advisable to reserve.

On the way to the Barrhorn the hut is a welcome opportunity for a rest. The hut is also the starting point for various ski tours in winter. Transitions are in the huts Topali hut, Schalijochbiwak, Cabane d'Arpitettaz and Cabane de Tracuit

Above the tree line, it goes through the untouched Turtmanntal past lush mountain meadows and imposing rocks up to the Turtmannhütte. Always in view: the peaks at the end of the valley and the mighty Turtmann Glacier.
