On the Lauensteiner Kopf, at the highest point of the Ith (439 meters), the stone Ith Tower rises up and offers a breathtaking panoramic view in good weather. The tower is freely accessible and there are several picnic tables and a shelter around it for protection from the weather.

The tower is newly renovated and looks again vividly ... The Ithturm is a built in 1912 13.8 m high observation tower on the Ith between Lauenstein and Bisperode in Lower Saxony. He stands on the Lauensteiner head, which is 439 m above sea level. NHN highest elevation of the elongated Ithkamms in the northern part of the ridge called "Krüllbrink". Source Wikipedia ...
