Originally built as a castle (of which nothing remains), the Château de Ripaille has existed since the end of the 13th or the beginning of the 14th century. It was also a Carthusian monastery in the meantime and is now privately owned - but you can visit it.
The castle itself has been classified as a historic monument since 1942. The surrounding buildings (for example, the entrance pavilion, the Bonne de Bourbon tower, the pavilion, the Carthusian cell and the agricultural buildings of the former Carthusian monastery) are classified since 1991.

Château with a special forest, a vineyard and a very high wall around the large area. This 15th century castle is the former residence of Amadeus VIII, the first Duke of Savoy and later Pope Felix V.
Visits are offered.
